It was truly a pleasure to be collaborating with Ben Alun-Jones for the launch of his London, Frameless Gallery Exhibition, "In Plain Sight."
 

I worked with Jimmy Napes to create an Ableton based interactive DJ set which controlled the lights of Ben's three pieces of 'affinity furniture.' For more information on Ben's magical mind and creations please visit Ben Online.

I consider myself to be a new breed of musician, a 'multimedia musician' - to stay on top of the ever growing and rapid developing world of multimedia and interactivity I love visiting art and tech shows whenever possible..

The National Maritime Museum (NMM), in collaboration with United Visual Artists (UVA) and Cape Farewell, presents High Arctic, an expedition experience.

anniversary facelift & *paulism intro

As you may have noticed, I hadn't updated my website since the middle of March, so it's been nearly 3 months since I've posted anything. It's also worth noting that this is the first anniversary of my website, and in honor of this fact, I have given my website a well deserved facelift!

Since my last blog post, I played a few sessions with Tawiah and did 6 showcases with BlakkSpring for which I'll be posting somewhat of a review over the next couple of days.

Away from playing live, the most incredible thing has been having some time off to rediscover my artistry which allowed me to fall in love with the magic of music. I have also just finished my first ever 'Modern Drummer' feature, for which I had to answer some quite scrupulous questions, which helped to challenge my thoughts and was a catalyst for self discovery. In a more conventional sense, I've been exploring all manners of obscure music which all correlates to the expressionist art i've been experiencing.

These experiences prompted me to get to work on the first solo project that I've produced since 2006, *paulism.

The ' *paulism ' project started off as some what of an experiment, however it has developed into a bonafide production with a culmination of my art influences channelled via examples of technology, literature, film, and fashion all consolidated by the art of music.

The PSM x Eric Lau in Tokyo

I was fortunate enough to be asked to join Eric Lau as a special guest at a couple of shows in Tokyo, Japan.

My favourite gig of the trip was Sai Lounge, check out the live ustream from the event which also features a short interview about Eric and his newly released instrumental album, 'Quadrivium.'

Alongside this, we did some incredible studio sessions and had great meetings.. We were warmly welcomed into the Japanese music scene, which also lead to invitations as guests to the legendary Blue Note. It was mega sad to leave Tokyo after forming really great relationships. But not to worry, it looking like i'll be back sooner than I thought.
